Field Resources
There are four field related build resources available to teams this year. Teams can review the options to help understand which may be the right fit for their needs and resources.
| Category | Element Name | Fidelity* | Resources Needed |
| Test Elements | Team Test Elements | Low |
|
| Event Test Elements | Low/Medium |
|
|
| Practice Elements | Team Practice Elements | Medium |
|
| Wood Practice Perimeter | Medium |
|
* Note that a “High Fidelity” item would be a Field Element that is build directly from the official drawings for the parts used on the official playing fields.

Team Test Elements
Team Test Elements
Formerly called “Team Elements” or “Team Versions”, the Team Test Elements are low fidelity versions of field elements designed by FIRST and built by teams. They are typically made from lumber or other materials available at a local hardware store. These can be built with common hand and power tools.

Event Test Elements
Event Test Elements
Event Test Elements are low-to-medium fidelity versions of field elements that are manufactured by FIRST and used at official events. Event Test Elements are typically made using a “notch and tab” plywood construction along with other materials. They often employ real field components in areas where it is cost-effective and where the nature of the interaction with robots is very sensitive to variations in materials and construction.

Team Practice Elements
Team Practice Elements
Team Practice Elements are medium fidelity versions of field elements designed by FIRST and built by teams. These elements are made using a more advanced construction style and are intended to serve as a starting point for teams that want to build a higher fidelity practice area.

Wood Practice Perimeter
Wood Practice Perimeter
The Wood Practice Perimeter is a medium fidelity version of the official field perimeter that is designed by FIRST and built by teams. The perimeter is made using the same construction style as the Team Practice Elements and is intended to be used in combination with those elements.
